Phoebe Product Update

Phoebe Product Update

Follow-up questions, smarter answers, deeper thinking — here’s what we shipped in the last month.

🔁 Multi-Turn Investigations

  • Investigations can be triggered by alerts or natural language questions, and you can now ask follow-up questions to extend or refine the investigation.
  • Users can ask Phoebe to drill into a particular finding from an initial result, or take a proposed action further and generate a pull request.
  • These follow-up investigations also an easy way to guide Phoebe to a different service or metric name, a different query window, or other refinement.

🧠 Investigations UI

  • We updated the UI to show more of Phoebe’s process of investigation as it happens — from hypotheses generation to subagent tool actions to conclusions.
  • “Thinking” blocks gives you visibility into Phoebe’s line-of-thought, the steps she takes, and why.
  • You’ll see which data source tools Phoebe uses (e.g. logs, metrics, traces, code changes, knowledge base) and what she finds. Active steps appear in blue and turn green when complete.
  • Each investigation ends with a summary of findings, and you can continue digging in with follow-up questions.

🚨 Alert Investigations

  • Alert responses can now be routed to different Slack channels based on how your alerts are organised — by team, product, tag, etc.
  • This makes it easier for larger orgs to use Phoebe across multi-team, high alert volume environments.

🛠️ Data and Integrations

  • We introduced a new ingestion approach for metrics and traces, improving flexibility and performance.
  • Logs can now be ingested with all tags indexed as full-text search — giving Phoebe richer context and improving investigation accuracy.

🧪 Agent Evaluations

  • We shipped new eval tooling to continuously evaluate Phoebe’s end-to-end and subagent level performance, helping us systematically track and improve quality and accuracy.
